Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For the Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.
