Chicken Parmesan Calzone

Ingredients:

1 batch of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
1 cup of cooked chicken, shredded or diced
1 cup of marinara sauce
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of fresh basil leaves, chopped
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
Flour, for dusting

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface.
Spread the marinara sauce onto one half of the pizza dough, leaving a little bit of space around the edges.
Add your cooked chicken on top of the marinara sauce.
Sprinkle your shredded mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan cheese on top of the chicken.
Add your chopped basil on top of the cheese.
Drizzle the olive oil over the entire calzone.

Close the calzone by folding the other half of the pizza dough over the top of the toppings.
Use a fork to crimp the edges together.
Brush the top of the calzone with the beaten egg.
Bake the calzone in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Slice and serve immediately.
