Ingredients:
- 1 pound of chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can of crushed tomatoes
- 3 cups of chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 box of spaghetti
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, dried basil and oregano. Stir to combine.
- Break the spaghetti in half and add it to the pot. Stir until the spaghetti is fully coated in the sauce.
- Cover and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the spaghetti is fully cooked.
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil and serve hot.
